Distinguished service award bestowed to Daver
Edul Daver, president of ACuPowder International LLC of Union received the "Distinguished Service to Powder Metallurgy award from the Metal Powder Industries Federation for his outstanding career achievements.
Established in 1968, the award was presented by MPIF President David Schaefer at the 2003 International Conference on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials in Las Vegas, Nev. MPIF is the trade association for the North American metal powder and particulate materials producing and consuming indus tires.
The award recognized professionals who have devoted a major part of their careers to one or more segments of the powder metallurgy industry and whose contributions and achievements deserve special recognition.
Daver has worked in the metal powder industry for more than 36 years. He has three patents and serves as president of the Metal Powder Producers Association. He received a bachelor's degree in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, a master's degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a M.B.A. degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Daver lives in Warren, with his wife Niloufer.
